Early morning news writers: Spanish, Portuguese and Italian
mediabrief is seeking part-time news writers to cover Spain, Portugal and Italy for its news briefings on European political and economic affairs.
Working online with colleagues from across Europe in the early hours of the morning, you will summarise the top political and economic issues of the day for briefings that are read by some of the world’s most influential political figures.
The right person will be reliable, able to work quickly, meet strict deadlines and have strong writing skills. Great news judgement, excellent Spanish, Portuguese and / or Italian and native-level English are also must-haves.
For Spain and Italy, the hours are 04:45 - 07.15 UK each weekday morning and 06:30 - 09:00 UK on weekends. There will be 3-6 shifts available per week and you will be required to work at least one weekend morning per week. The rate of pay is £40 per shift.
Portugal requires around 1.5 hours input per morning and can be combined with other shifts on Spain and/ or Italy. There will be a requirement to work weekends. Rate of pay: £24 per shift.
Fully paid, on-the-job training will be provided for shifts starting late May/ early June.
